I am home for a few days before continuing the Russian Ballet tour. The six performances in Canberra went well, although four of them in two days was fairly exhausting. Worse is to come in Adelaide when three rehearsals and two performances are squeezed into two days!

I recently received a CD of a wonderful performance of my Songs Without Words, given by the University Of Washington under Tim Salzman. This was only the second performance of the work, and I think it is likely to be used as a "demo" CD by Southern Music.

Nothing much else this month, except for a short engagement with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra on the 28th. This is to open the new Australian Broadcasting Corporation building in Sydney. We will play my arrangement of the National Anthem as well as another festive piece of mine.
